Installing Smart Customization

Smart Customization changes which offer your existing Partial.ly checkout button or widget uses — you still need the button or widget installed on your product and cart pages first.

Shopify and BigCommerce: automatic snippets

If you have a connected Shopify or BigCommerce integration, go to Smart Customization → Install for ready-to-paste code snippets. Choose a snippet for your platform and placement (product page button, product page widget, cart page button, or — on Shopify — cart drawer button), then copy it into your theme. Each snippet already includes the right settings for its placement, so rules evaluate automatically once it's live.

If neither Shopify nor BigCommerce is connected, the Install page will tell you to connect one of them before snippets are available.

Other platforms

For platforms without generated snippets, add these options to your existing checkout button or widget configuration:

• smartCustomization: true — turns on rule evaluation for this button or widget.
• merchantId — your Partial.ly merchant ID.
• source — your platform, e.g. "woocommerce".
• ruleContext — the placement, matching a rule's Applies to value (e.g. "product_page", "cart_page").
