Smart Customization for Shopify

Smart Customization lets your Shopify checkout button or widget automatically pick the right offer — or hide Partial.ly entirely — based on rules you set about the customer's cart. It requires a connected Shopify integration and rules created under Smart Customization.

Install a Smart Customization snippet

Go to Smart Customization → Install. With Shopify connected, you'll see ready-to-paste snippets for:

• Product page button — a "Purchase with" button on the product page.
• Product page widget — the interactive Partial.ly widget on the product page.
• Cart page button — a button on the cart page.
• Cart drawer button — a button inside a Shopify cart drawer/slide-out cart.

Copy the snippet for the placement you want into the matching Liquid template. Each snippet already sends the current Shopify product or cart to Partial.ly and evaluates your rules automatically — no extra configuration needed.

How it fits with an existing widget or button

If you already have the standard Partial.ly widget or checkout button installed (see the Shopify widget and checkout button setup docs), you can turn on Smart Customization for it manually by adding smartCustomization: true to its config, along with merchantId and source: 'shopify'. The generated snippets from the Install page already include these — use them as a reference if you're customizing your own installation.

Rule fields for Shopify carts

Condition rules can match on Shopify product data synced from your store: Product ID, Variant ID, SKU, Product type, Vendor, Tags, and Categories, in addition to cart total, currency, and customer fields. Tags and Categories conditions need your Shopify product catalog synced first — sync it from your Shopify settings page.
