How Partially Charges Merchants

Partially charges a commission on each payment collected through the platform. There is no monthly subscription fee on the base plan — you only pay when you collect.

The default commission rate is 2%, with discounts available for high volume merchants.

Standard Commission Structure

Partially's commission is deducted from each installment payment as it's collected. For example, if a customer pays a $100 installment and your commission rate is 2%, Partially retains $2 and deposits $98 to your Stripe balance.

Commission is not charged on declined or failed payments — only on successfully collected amounts.

Stripe Processing Fees

In addition to Partially's commission, standard Stripe card processing fees apply to each transaction (typically 2.9% + $0.30 per successful card charge in the US). These are charged by Stripe directly and are separate from Partially's commission.

ACH/bank transfer payments have lower processing fees than card payments.

Promo Rates

Some merchants receive a reduced commission rate as part of a promotion or partnership arrangement. If you were given a promo code during signup, your rate is already applied.

Passing Fees to Customers

You can optionally charge customers a financing fee to offset your costs. When creating an offer, set the Interest/Fee field to a percentage or flat amount. This fee is added to the customer's total and collected as part of the plan, so you receive it minus Partially's commission.

Payouts

Collected funds are held briefly by Stripe and paid out to your connected bank account on a rolling schedule (typically 2 business days in the US, 7 days in some international markets).

Most merchants (Standard Connect, which includes all new merchants) view payout schedules, history, and details directly in their Stripe Dashboard — Partially does not display payout details for these accounts. The Payouts section inside Partially applies only to legacy Express Connect merchants.

Refunds and Chargebacks

If a customer requests a refund that you approve, Partially's commission on the refunded amount is not returned to you. Stripe's processing fee on the original transaction is typically not refunded by Stripe. If a customer initiates a chargeback, the disputed amount is temporarily withheld pending resolution.
