Stripe FAQs

A Stripe account is required to process payment with Partially. You can sign up for a Stripe account at www.stripe.com. You will be subject to Stripe's pricing and fees.

Connecting your Stripe account

Stripe is how Partially processes payments, so connecting Stripe is the first setup step. To connect:

  1. In Partially, go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Click Connect next to Stripe.
  3. You'll be redirected to Stripe to sign in to your existing account or create a new one.

Once connected, customer payments are deposited directly into your Stripe account as they're collected. Don't have a Stripe account yet? You can create one for free at www.stripe.com during this step; Stripe's own pricing and fees will apply.

Payments and payouts

Payments will immediately be deposited into your Stripe account as they are paid by the customer.

Payments vs. payouts: a payment is an individual installment collected from a customer; a payout is Stripe transferring your collected balance to your bank. These are viewed in different places.

To view payout details — schedules, history, and the status of transfers to your bank — use your Stripe Dashboard. Payouts are controlled entirely from your Stripe account. This is the correct place for all Standard Connect merchants, which includes all new merchants. (An in-Partially Payouts section exists only for legacy Express Connect merchants.)

Payment history

All merchants can review their payments in their Partially account in the Payments section.Click the details link to see the Stripe ID. There is an "Export to CSV" button on the bottom right of the page to see multiple payments within a spreadsheet. All payment history will also appear within your Stripe account.

Currencies

Stripe supports processing payments in 135+ currencies, allowing you to charge customers in their native currency while receiving funds in yours. This is especially helpful if you have a global presence, as charging in a customer’s native currency can increase sales. Payment methods

The type of payment methods you can accept are controlled by Stripe. You can see a list of supported currencies at https://docs.stripe.com/payments/payment-methods/overview.
