How to Cancel / Refund a Plan

Partially payment plans can only be canceled and refunded by the merchant from their account at partial.ly/merchant.

How do I cancel the plan?

Log in to the Partially merchant portal, go to the plan you wish to cancel, and click the red Cancel Plan link near the top of the plan.

I don't see a cancel link.

Plans with a Paid status cannot be canceled — they are closed and no longer collect payments. You can archive a paid plan instead.

Does canceling the plan automatically refund it?

No. Canceling a plan does not refund it. They are separate functions.

Can I refund an open plan?

We do not recommend refunding an open plan. Instead, add a discount to the total.

If you need to refund an open plan but want to collect the refunded amount later, you will need to cancel and reopen the plan after the refund is processed so the refunded amount can be added back into the schedule.

How do I refund the plan?

Go to the Payments section of the plan and click the Refund All Payments button at the top.

I don't want to refund all payments.

Click the refund link next to each individual payment you wish to refund. You will have the option to edit the refund to a smaller amount before submitting.

I received an error that the payment is older than 180 days.

ACH payments (made with a bank account) can only be refunded if they are under 180 days old. Older ACH payments must be refunded outside of our system via check or e-payment.
