Email Settings

The Emails section of the merchant settings controls the emails that are sent to you and your customers by Partial.ly when certain payment plan activities occur. You can control whether or not Partial.ly sends these emails to both you and your customers.

Emails Sent by Partial.ly

Payment Notifications:

  • Payment confirmed — A payment has successfully processed.
  • Payment disputed — The customer has disputed a payment with their bank.
  • Payment failed — A payment has failed.
  • Refund confirmed — A refund has successfully processed.
  • Installment payment additional authentication request — Request for a customer to provide additional authentication for a scheduled installment.
  • Manual payment request — Request for customer to authenticate a manual payment.
  • Installment payment request — Request for a customer to pay a scheduled installment.
  • Installment upcoming reminder — Reminder of upcoming scheduled installment.

Payment Plan Status Notifications:

  • Payment Plan canceled — The payment plan has been canceled.
  • Payment Plan opened — The payment plan has been opened.
  • Payment Plan defaulted — The payment plan has defaulted.
  • Payment Plan paid — The payment plan is fully paid.
  • Payment Plan request — A manually-initiated email from the merchant to their customer. Used when opening a payment plan directly with your customer.
  • Payment Plan pending confirmation — Sent when a payment plan is pending payment confirmation, which can occur when the first payment is manual or requires additional authentication.

Other Notifications:

  • Abandoned cart rescue attempt — Attempt to rescue an abandoned cart.
  • Installment re-schedule offer — An email to customers reminding them of upcoming payment, with an option to delay for a small fee. Disable in general settings.

Email Settings Options

For each email, you can:

  1. Toggle the email on/off for both merchants and customers.
  2. Customize the design for the email.
  3. Edit the content of the email
  4. View a preview of the email.
  5. Send a preview email to a designated email address.
