General Settings

Account Details

Your account details contain your:

  • Name: This is the name of your Partial.ly merchant account and what customers will see as the business they are opening a payment plan with unless you upload a logo.
  • Email: This is your contact email that will receive automated transaction communications from Partial.ly about payment plan sales activity.
  • Time Zone: This is the time zone that your business operates in. All payment plan transaction information will be associated to the selected time zone.
  • Default Currency: This is the default selected currency that will be selected when new offers and payment plans are being created. Regardless of the default currency selected, any currency can be selected for an offer or a payment plan.
  • Weight Units: This is the weight unit that Partial.ly will use to calculate shipping rates if you use Partial.ly's Shipping Settings and have a shipping rate based on weight range.

A Note on Setting Your Currency

Your default currency is set based on your country during signup. Changing currency after you've created offers may affect existing offer configurations.

Payment Plans

These settings control:

  • Retry Settings: If a scheduled payment fails, these settings control how many time the failed payment can retry and how much time can pass between failed payments.

  • Upcoming Installments: You can opt into notifying customers they have a payment coming up and when this notification should be sent.

  • Reschedule Settings: This allows customers to reschedule the next due payment for up to 5 days for $2. You can alter both of these variables, or opt out entirely.

  • Defaulted Plans: Two separate settings control how customers can resolve a defaulted plan from the customer portal:

    • Allow customers to pay full balance on defaulted payment plans lets the customer pay the entire remaining balance at once.
    • Allow customers reopen defaulted payment plans lets the customer reopen the plan with an automatically generated schedule. The down payment equals the last failed installment, and the new schedule keeps the same number of remaining installments and payment frequency as the original schedule.

    You can enable one, both, or neither option. If a customer does not see an option, enable the corresponding setting and select Update.

  • Other Notifications: You can be notified if a plan is opened below a minimum amount.

Business Logo

Upload your business logo in Settings → General → Logo. The logo appears on payment plan agreements and customer-facing emails. Supported formats: PNG, JPG, SVG. Recommended size: at least 200px wide.

API Key

Your API key is available at Settings → General → API Key. Use it to authenticate API requests if you're integrating Partially directly with your own systems.

Don't forget to update

If you want to change any of your general settings, select the "Update" button to save your changes. If you do not select this button, your setting changes will not save.
