Integration Settings

Integrations Settings

The Integrations section of the merchant settings allows merchants to connect Partial.ly to available services and control additional behaviors. We currently have integrations with Stripe, Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Opencart, PrestaShop, QuickBooks (QBO), FreshBooks, and Harvest.

Stripe

Stripe is required in order to accept payments from customers and receive funds to your bank account. To connect Stripe, go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect next to Stripe; you'll be redirected to Stripe to sign in to your existing account or create a new one. The Stripe integration settings are simply connecting or disconnecting your Stripe account.

Shopify

Our Shopify integration allows Shopify stores to place a Partial.ly payment plan checkout option and automatically sync payment plan orders with the Shopify admin.

The recommended Shopify setup is to create a custom Shopify app, then enter the shop domain, Client ID, and Client secret in Partially. This lets Partially create Shopify orders, append Partially payment history to Shopify order notes, mark Shopify orders as paid, and cancel associated Shopify orders directly.

Within the Shopify settings, merchants can:

  • Connect their Shopify stores
  • Enter custom app credentials
  • Add custom tags to orders purchased with a Partial.ly payment plan
  • Customize Shopify order notes
  • Set inventory behavior
  • Toggle Shopify order confirmation emails on/off

1. Connecting your Shopify store

Please see the custom Shopify app guide for specific information on connecting your Shopify store

2. Tags

Adding custom tags to a Shopify order makes it easy to look up and isolate certain types of orders. For example, adding a tag of "payment plan" will allow you to search for and filter all Partial.ly payment plan orders in your Shopify order list.

3. Inventory Behavior

Inventory Behavior is the inventory action that Shopify will apply when a Partial.ly payment plan order is created. The three options are:

  • Do not claim inventory — Leaves purchased products in inventory; must be manually removed when the order is fulfilled. Use this option if you want to manually fulfill orders.
  • Ignore the product's inventory policy and claim amounts no matter what — Removes purchased products from inventory regardless of the product's inventory policy. Use this option if you want items sold with payment plans removed from inventory right away.
  • Obey the product's inventory policy — Follows the inventory policy you have set for your products within Shopify.

4. Send Shopify order confirmation

Toggle Shopify order confirmation emails on or off. Depending on how you communicate with customers, you may want them to receive both a Partial.ly and Shopify order confirmation, or just one to prevent redundancy.

Important: If you change any of your Shopify settings, you must select the Update Shopify Options button at the bottom of the Shopify settings section to save the changes.

QuickBooks

Our QuickBooks integration allows QBO users to provide a payment plan payment option in their invoices. Within the QuickBooks integration settings, merchants can connect or disconnect their QuickBooks account.
